Are you looking to enhance the appearance of your smile? Veneers might be the perfect solution for you. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted from tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of your teeth. They are an excellent choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility. With veneers, Dr. Schuyler at Franklin County Dental and Implants can correct a wide range of dental issues, including stained, chipped, decayed, or misshapen teeth.
Veneers can provide a natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing solution to a variety of dental issues. They are custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly, ensuring a comfortable fit and a beautiful smile. Veneers are also a more conservative approach to changing a tooth's color and shape; they generally don't require the extensive shaping that crowns do, yet offer a stronger, more aesthetic alternative to bonding. Whether your teeth are chipped, stained, or you simply desire to improve their shape and alignment, veneers can help you achieve a smile that you can be proud of.
Veneers can last between 10 to 15 years with proper care and regular dental visits.

Veneers provide an immediate transformation to your smile. They are specifically designed to resemble your natural teeth in terms of color, shape, and size, ensuring a seamless and natural look. Veneers can correct a multitude of dental imperfections, such as stains, chips, gaps, or misshapen teeth, instantly enhancing your smile and boosting your confidence.
Veneers are made from high-quality dental porcelain or composite resin, materials known for their strength and durability. With proper care and maintenance, veneers can last for many years. They are resistant to stains and decay, ensuring that your smile stays bright and beautiful for longer.
Unlike other dental procedures such as crowns, veneers require minimal removal of your natural tooth enamel. This means that more of your natural tooth structure is preserved, which is always beneficial for your oral health.
The first step in the veneers process involves a consultation with Dr. Schuyler. During this visit, he will discuss your cosmetic goals, evaluate your oral health, and determine if veneers are the right option for you. This step may also involve taking X-rays or making impressions of your mouth and teeth.
Once it's decided that veneers are the right choice, the next step is preparation. Dr. Schuyler will remove a small amount of enamel from the front of your teeth to accommodate the veneer. After this, he will make an impression of your teeth, which will be sent to a dental laboratory to create your custom veneers.
Once your veneers are ready, Dr. Schuyler will temporarily place them on your teeth to check their fit and color. He will repeatedly remove and trim the veneers to achieve the proper fit; the veneer color can be adjusted with the shade of cement used. Once everything is perfect, your teeth will be cleaned, polished, and etched to allow for a strong bonding process. A special cement is then applied to the veneer, which is then placed on your tooth. Once it's properly positioned, Dr. Schuyler will apply a special light to the dental veneer, which activates chemicals in the cement causing it to harden quickly.
